Getting There
Flying | The closest airport is Albany International (ALB) — about an hour from Manchester. You can rent a car at the airport or arrange a car service. Ubers are limited, so having a car helps — especially if you plan to chase a few trails, swimming holes, or breweries while you’re here.
Driving | From New York City (or Brooklyn, where we live), it’s about a 4 to 4.5-hour drive north — mostly along the Taconic Parkway through the Hudson Valley, with mountain views and farm stands along the way.
Getting Around | Manchester is small and easy to navigate. Most places are a short drive apart, but don’t count on catching an Uber after dinner — this is Vermont, not the city :)
